When does it start?
Where? How? Do I want to grow up? Do I want to fulfill the responsibilities? Fear runs alongside the thought of loneliness. To be alone is the terrifying element to growing up. Who will remain by my side? Who will fall though my fingertips? Who will fade into the dark abyss? Who will leave me wondering? Who will I miss? Where will my state of mind rest? Where will I be comfortable? How do I do it? How do I grow up?

Thousands of faces frozen in time
Turned to stone Thousands of bodies paused in motion and crumbled into sand The thoughts of the stones will never be told The muffled screams and voices are but tales and whispers in the dark Their terrified expressions have been attempted to tell their broken stories through the years The mountain that ended the lives of many stands tall and proud as the thousands of frozen faces in time turn into history All stories have an ending. Not all deserve telling. This one only NEEDS it. Halloween is over
Finally, its time to break out the christmas lights Candles, evergreen trees, and bells Red, gold, white, and green are the themed colors Snuggle up on the couch in a cozy sweater and slippers Make yourself a warm cup of tea Flip on the television Elf is playing on ABC Family Feast on Thanksgiving leftovers and take a deep breath Because the holidays are the best time of year. Can you hear that?
The sound of drums the sound of the mighty hero He walks with pride and dignity His losses outnumber a million deaths He vows not to interfere with the mysteries he encounters Yet he only gets involved when theres a child crying Sympathy, anger, the visions of an elder warrior Converted to a peaceful and wise Doctor The day is coming Beware Be excited Be curious Let’s do this thing The rain collects
an ocean and left bobbing boatlike an abandoned shoe swims in water that has been recycled through centuries so that it is swimming in time itself in fluid tocks and liquid ticks treading water in past and future as this water will be used again. The shoe holds in sloping insides a whirlpool of steps taken and dirt collected and combined inside thread and laces. Memories stitched in, stepped in and a future that kicked off that shoe perhaps running from a danger perhaps skipping to a lover perhaps reenacting a favorite fairytale about pumpkins and magic. Perhaps just swept off by the renewing rain Either way, a shoe sits abandoned in the gutter slowly fading until it is part of the rain itself and then reincarnated as spring shoes gracefully fall back into the gutter The suspense was thriving
The clock was ticking The heads were turning Sorcery was the only savior A friendship that had grown so faithful withered away by the mention of one word Yet there was still time to rekindle it Tick, tock, tick, tock Tears begin to flow as the dragon lord knelt in an empty field with his faithful friend lay helpless on his lap Hope was no more Sadness overcame the minds of the mourners. But years later only one mind withheld the remaining emotions of a lost friend in time. Fear strikes his eyes as he releases the talking device from his grip
and tosses it onto the hard pavement behind him He solemnly stares at the cloudy sky ahead of him He lifts a foot onto the ledge then the other He raises his arms as if he were a bird and takes one more breath Tears are streaming down his pale face when he finally lets go Nothing is said Silence takes over The fall seems like an eternity yet it lasts but a few seconds Darkness descends… Or does it? enveloping disaster, the creator, the destroyer. life, and death after. it’s always glowing, searching, for a spark. to surge, to erupt, to burst. it all but leaves, the trail from behind, filled with wreckage, with loss, with love, unresigned. for a moment, it hesitates, with selection. the decision it must make, is one with the fate, of others, in hand. yet it was always made, since its conception, it chooses a path, without love, or direction. Iridescent lights shoot up from the crafted sticks
Swirling and jutting from corner to corner Smiling faces rejoice in celebration as the feast appears with the blink of an eye on the stretched tables. Every eye turns in curiosity to the bearded man standing at the podium. He flicks his wand and at that moment the celebration is commenced in laughter The children with smiling faces once again find their calling without trouble and doubt |
