This is pretty much me going through Bioshock 2 and saying how good it is. Warning: This post contains Bioshock and Bioshock 2 spoilers; click the "Read More" in the bottom right-hand corner if you want to be spoiled (unless you've played it already; then you can freak out with me). Before I start, I barely remember anything from this one because - let's be real - it was my least favorite out of the three. And I also got the good ending, so there's that. The game starts out with a woman named Sophia Lamb shooting you - a Big Daddy - in front of your Little Sister, Eleanor. Lamb claims that Eleanor is actually her daughter, so she shoots you in the head. Fun, right? Eventually, you're revived in a vita-chamber (sort of like a 'checkpoint' but I guess it's just used as an excuse to bring you back from the dead), and a lady named Brigid Tenenbaum - who was also in the first game, and she helped Jack only if he saved her Little Sisters instead of harvesting them - helps you through Rapture. Somewhere through the journey, you encounter a Big Sister, but you 'defeat' her; she really just runs away after you damage her health enough. She comes back later, though, and eventually you actually kill her. Eventually you find Eleanor with Lamb, but, although you can see them, they're sealed away from you. Lamb smothers Eleanor until she's knocked unconscious, and this makes yours and Eleanor's 'bond' weaken; your heart shuts down long enough to render you unconscious, and Lamb captures you. Eleanor somehow sends you a plasmid to help you possess a Little Sister, and she leads you to Big Sister armor so that you can take it to her. You're forced to brawl it out with a bunch of enemies. And when I say a bunch, I mean a bunch. So many enemies. So many-mies. Anyway, you're expected to fight many-mies by yourself while Eleanor goes off to pile the Little Sisters into a pod that we were planning to take up together to the surface. But eventually you end up defeating everybody - probably with no ammo left. The cinematic ending to this was also pretty emotional - not as emotional as Bioshock or Infinite though. So the escape pod launches up, with you barely hanging onto it, and Tenenbaum is in it along with Eleanor and Little Sisters. On the way up, Tenenbaum starts to drown, but Eleanor saves her - I think that's a part of the good ending/sparing people when I could have killed them. When you reach the surface, Eleanor goes over to you and stabs her ADAM needle-thing into you, so you'll 'always be with her' and then she looks into the water and drops a Big Daddy stuffed toy that she had when she was little; all of the Little Sisters gather around her and they all look into the water, and then the credits start to roll. It's not as good as the first Bioshock, and it's definitely not as good as Infinite, but, I mean, if you're gonna play the first one, then you might as well play this one, too.
