wrapped in your arms,
my heart is a helicopter. the cage for it shattered my heart disintegrated wrapped in your arms, i am whispering under my breath did you, did you really love him? The lights outside shimmer, in the dark as everyone sleeps awaiting for the next day. When there will be presents lined under the Christmas trees. When wrapping paper and bags will be thrown across the floor. When they will have a special breakfast and have an absolute wonderful day. Everyone will be joyful in one way or another. The air will smell like pine and cookies because of the Christmas trees and the cookies being baked. Seeing family and having a great feast for dinner and cookies for dessert. Watching movies at night with hot cocoa in your lap. What a wonderful day Christmas is, but when the day's over, we go back to sleep, and the next day isn't special like Christmas.
running my fingers across
the granite slate, I find a corner and I whisper to it “are you the last” I stop because there’s a chair here no, no there must be more, I think aloud this time I look up to granite I look down to granite “where are You” I can’t breathe, aloud this time “there must be some way to find You” The walls stand bare
No posters or pictures The floor stands clear No furniture or toys to cover it Quiet and still the house stands No kids crying or yelled No running in and out No smells of cookies in the oven The house stands there waiting for a family To make it normal again With posters and pictures Furniture and toys Crying and yelling Running inside and outside Ands smells of cookies in the oven Until then the house stands still. Enya walked through the broken down town. Kids were laughing and parents talking about the latest show or work. She walked past the bright bakery and smelled the wondrous things she once had as a child. Enya wondered what the harm was in having some on this cold, snowy day that pierced even the thickest of coats.
She walked in to find it hadn’t changed a bit since she was a child. There was still a big glass case with all the delicious pastries and drinks that made your insides all warm. She bought a cherry filled pastry fresh from the oven and took it with her hopes high. She bit into it and felt the warm sweet insides seep into her tastebuds and down her throat. Enya slowly finished it, wanting to savor every bite. Wishing it would never end, she refused to admit later that she had bought two more and a full mug of hot chocolate. She went back through the streets to find that people had gone back into their homes for dinner and the noises outside had subsided. Enya saw a snowman in someone’s yard with a hat and gloves. She remembered doing that and wished she could once more. Who’s stopping me? she asked herself as she picked up some snow and proceed to make the original snowman a friend, someone to give it warmth in it’s heart. Darkness
it followed them everywhere there was no escaping it it took loved ones, friends it even took people met in passing nobody was safe from the Darkness that followed the Darkness was always there it was always hovering over them saving as many people as they can they were hidden heroes moved in the shadows never needing thanks never needing payment they helped people saved them but the Darkness would always be there We have always wondered
What’s out there? From the beginning the human race has searched for more If you want to find a wish
look everywhere All around they’re there Floating through the air, unnoticed, unseen Until they slip into crevices into minds Every person has wishes “I wish we had more ice cream” “I wish I have a pet” to “I wish you cared about me” “I wish you were still alive” Beautiful, Happy, Bitter, Desperate, sad, Afraid, Angry, Hopeful The wishes stay until they are fulfilled When they are replaced with more wishes everywhere if you want to find a wish open your eyes and see Laughter and joy
