I actually got this book signed by the author. I also got 'A Breath Of Eyre' signed as well the same day. Just something interesting. This is more of a sci-fi story. it's about a young man named Ephraim (Eh-fry-eem) who, mysteriously, after school finds his mother sprawled on the kitchen table unconscious with a bottle of pills clenched in her hand. Ephraim is astonished and gets her to the hospital right away. But when he get's to the hospital, he finds a boy in a gurney...dead. The weird thing is... the boy was him. He is really freaked out. He receives the boy's wallet that only consists of an ID, and a coin. The next day, he finds a note in his locker. It says simply to flip the coin and make a wish. Ephraim doubtfully tries it, but to his surprise, it came true. His mother is out of the hospital and no longer an alcoholic. This leads us into the VERY complicated story of Ephraim's coin. Betrayal and death takes place between his best friend, Nathan, and his crush, Jenna. You must pay attention to everything in this novel. Even if you skip one sentence, you will be confused. This wasn't my favorite book. It entertained me and i found the sci-fi pretty cool, but this book might not be for everybody. If you have a short attention span or get bored easily, don't read this book. Overall, i'd give this book a 6 out of 10. ~Emily
