What started off as a small idea for a book, has blossomed into something entirely bigger. The popular novel known as 'The Hunger Games' has swept the minds of thousands of teens over the past year. Am I being too serious. Yeah, I am. Let's make this a fun book review! Okay... right! So 'The Hunger Games' (if you don't already know) takes place at some point in North America's future. North America is now called 'Panem' (did you know 'Panem' means bread in latin???). There are 12 districts where the united states once stood. Katniss Everdean (the main character) lives in the 12th district. District 12 is an outline district meaning it is known as a poorer district. Katniss is forced to fend for herself and her family consisting of her Mother and her Sister Primrose. Each year the Capitol has a celebration called 'The Hunger Games'. A boy and a girl are selected from each district and basically trained for a week and thrown into an arena to fight eachother to the death. In the story we follow Katniss's journey through the hardiships of the games and possibly finding something hidden inside her that she had never seen before. If you are into adventurous novels that keep you guessing at the turn of events, then 'The Hunger Games' is the best book for you! Once i started reading it, I literaly COULD NOT stop! I stayed up half the night reading and reading and reading! That just shows you how insane I am. BUT SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! Read this book!!!
