February 8, 1928- The first transatlantic TV image received at Hartsdale, New York. February 9, 1870- The United State's Weather Bureau gets established. February 10, 1970-An avalanche plows into a ski resort in Val d'Isere, France, and kills 42 people. February 11- There is a celebration in Japan for its founding day, which occurred when the first Emperor of Japan, Jimmu, got the throne in 660 BC. February 12, 1809- Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the US, is born in Hardin County, Kentucky.
