January 8, 1798- The 11 amendment to the United States Constitution is ratified, preventing lawsuits against a state by any other foreign region. January 9, 1913- Richard M. Nixon is born in Yorba Linda, California. In 1968 he becomes president of the United States. January 10, 1863- In London the first underground railway service opens. January 11, 1755- Alexander Hamilton is born. He later becomes a big role in the American Revolution. January 12, 1990- Romania outlawed the Communist Party after the overthrow of Dictator Nicolae Ceauscu. January 13, 1893- The British Independent Labor Party was founded. January 14, 1741- Benedict Arnold is born in Norwich, Connecticut. He was an America Revolutionary War hero, but then became a traitor.
