But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning". November 11th (US)- Today is Veterans Day to acknowledge all those who fought to protect this country. November 12, 1927- Joesph Stalin takes full control of the Soviet Union as Leon Trotsky is expelled from the Communist Party. November 13, 1945- General Charles De Gaulle was appointed president of the French provisional government. November 14, 1765- Steam boat inventor Robert Fulton was born in rural Pennsylvania. November 15, 1889- Brazil became a republic. November 16, 1933- President Franklin Delano Roosevelt announced that the United States would resume diplomatic relation with Soviet Russia.
